Arkansas offers many wonders to people who decide to visit this state, many of which are right out in the open and free for families and travelers to participate in. In addition to fifty state parks Arkansas is also home to six national parks, providing an abundance of wildlife and outdoor activities for the entire family. Perhaps water fun is more appealing, in that case vacationers can visit any one of the over six hundred thousand acres of lakes across the state or find some open water within the nearly ten thousand miles of streams and rivers. On the most famous attractions in the state is the Hot Springs National Park, which contains a numerous amount of pools naturally heated by the earth and varying in temperature. The springs have been visited by many famous people since opening to the public in the 1830s, including one of the presidents of the United States, Bill Clinton. If you really like to get your hands dirty consider participating in a mining experience where tourists will dig for precious minerals such as diamonds and quartz. Arkansas timeshares also provide access to some of the most beautiful golf courses thanks to the varied geography and weather. A trip to this state can also be educational as there are many museums and Civil war battle grounds to visit transporting yourself back in time for the day.
