Missouri is a Mid-West state one has to visit in order to truly appreciate the many travel options and exciting family locations this state has in store for its tourists. Many people might know Missouri as the “Show Me State”, however not many know how the name originated. Many locals believe the nick name came all the way from Washington when a Congressman named Willard Duncan Vandiver exclaimed, "I'm from Missouri and you've got to show me." This state is known for being the place where the first successful parachute jump took place as well as being credited with the invention of the ice cream cone at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis. One of the most popular locations to visit in the state is Branson timeshares, which is known as "Live Music Show Capital of the World."
