Mwembe means mango, highly appropriate as the resort is set in grounds of mango trees. The resort is just 1km from the centre of Malindi full of shops, bars, restaurants, disco and casino. Worth a visit is the wood carving shop and local market selling a variety of goods where bartering is a must. Photographic safaris, a trip by air to the island of Lamu or snorkelling in the Marine Park are all within easy reach.
