Steeped in history, these two adjoining Grade ll listed cottages were formerly part of a barn belonging to the local abbey and boast a wealth of character features dating back to the 1450s. Abbey Barn Cottage has an inglenook fireplace and ornamental bread oven, whilst Ronnie's Cottage had a priest hole (hideaway) used during the Reformation, the contents of which now reside in Reading Museum. Nearby Fareham offers a rich maritime heritage, Titchfield Haven, a national nature reserve, beautiful Meon Valley, plus peaceful woodland walks, various museums.
