Formerly the home of the acclaimed artist Sir Alfred Munnings - famous for his paintings of horses, hunting scenes, landscapes and village characters - this magnificent Grade II listed detached house was also the venue of the artist's special punch parties. Steeped in history, Mendham Hall displays many unusual and interesting features such as the Chess Room which is on a split level with the dining-room and has a woodblock floor inlaid with a chess board. Heavily beamed, the house also has a wealth of oak floorboards, mullion windows and two unusual fireplaces.
