Bariloche borders one of Latin America's most important ski centers. Downhill action begins in July and lasts till September. This is a great spot for warm-weather holidays as well; the city overlooks the startlingly blue waters of Lake Nahuel Huapi and is ringed by snowcapped mountain peaks, a breathtaking setting for outdoor recreation.
