Within the Puyehue National Park, on the slopes of the Casablanca Volcano, 1,015 meters over sea level, the Antillanca winter resort is located 60 miles from the Chilean city of Osorno. "Jewel of the sun" in the mapuche tongue, was the name chosen by the Club Andino de Osorno to baptize this treasure which, in a 22 mile area, combines an excellent quality of snow with the exuberant landscape of the region. The winter resort is reached along a path of ancient coihues and lenga, myrtle trees and Valdivian forest ferns. The winds coming from the Pacific Ocean reach this area and accumulate snow on the volcano.
