Tahoe Beach And Ski Club South Lake Tahoe, California

Tahoe Beach and Ski Club was directly on the shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe. We went during the first part of December for some early season skiing and snowboarding. Upon arrival I wanted to go check out the lake shore, it was a strange site to see about six inches of snow on top of sand. The Lake was mostly frozen over so we didn't do much on the water at that time. We were there to hit the slopes anyway, if you haven't visited Heavenly ski resort in Lake Tahoe I would recommend doing yourself a favor and taking that trip, it was one of the nicer ski resorts I had been too, but I would recommend going later in the ski season, some of the mountain was closed and wouldn't open until after the first of the year. The night life is great in this area with all the casinos to visit in Nevada just a few minutes away. As for the resort itself, it was pretty nice we stayed in a one bedroom unit. The small kitchen provided a place for us to cook breakfast in the morning and drink coffee before we went out. Some of the decor was outdated but we didn't really care about that, on vacation who wants to spend time in their hotel room anyway. Even though it was freezing outside the hot tub was the place to be, we went down night after night to soak and talk with the fellow guests of the resort. One more recommendation, if you find yourself anywhere near this city make sure to eat at Fire and Ice, the selection and freshness of the food was unmatched, plus they cook it right there in front of you so it was a fun family dining experience.
